What do you get when Sharon Horgan and Peaky Blinders producer Caryn Mandaback join teams? Well, Amazon Studios gets Dirty.

Sharon Horgan has brought her first Amazon project since Catastrophe and inking an overall deal with the service. Peaky Blinders producer Caryn Mandabach and Safe creator Danny Brocklehurst are joining the creator to bring the morally complex Dirty.

Brocklehurst will handle the writing for the drama that is described as a “brutally honest look at modern lives,” according to Deadline. When one woman decides to step into the big wide world, she soon learns that everyone has a secret or two that they’re keeping. On some level, everyone is dirty.

Both Horgan and Mandabach are excited to work with Brocklehurst on the project. He’s bringing a “truly surprising lead” to the series, and it’s clear that a streaming service was always going to be the perfect home. Amazon is the best choice, as a place that is full of adult, complex, and morality questioning material.

Very little else is known about the project so far. It’s likely set in the modern day and center on one lead character. No casting has been done as of yet, but Amazon Adviser will bring you all the latest information as we get it.

Many will know Sharon Horgan for Catastrophe, the British comedy that sees her play Sharon opposite Rob Delaney’s Rob. Sharon and Rob have a one-night stand that turns into a casual relationship. Things go completely awry when Sharon finds out she’s pregnant and the two try to make a go of it. However, there are some major issues with them being from different countries.

It’s not clear whether Horgan will star as well as executive produce the series. She has certainly managed both before.
