Isa Dick Hackett and David Zucker shared the present and the future for The Man in the High Castle. What can we expect for Season 4 and how will the showrunners deal with the stories past the book?

While at NYCC 2018, Isa Dick Hackett and David Zucker shared their thoughts on The Man in the High Castle in the current political climate. They also shared what was to come now that the story is moving past the books. The good news is that this series isn’t slowing down.

One of the big issues many shows have faced when adapting a book series is getting ahead. This is a major issue for those who create what initially is a limited series and gets picked up for more episodes or for those who work on a series that is still currently being written.

We just have to look at Game of Thrones and 13 Reasons Why to see some of the issues that can be raised. Certainly, there are some concerns already about The Man in the High Castle moving past the books, so it’s not surprising a question about it came up.

Isa and David shared that they weren’t concerned due to the stories that they had already told. The way the book was written versus the way the show stories have been told allow them to go deeper into the characters and the overall feeling of the series. Isa also shared that there is an unfinished sequel, which offers more material to work with in the future.

If you’re a fan of some of the lesser main characters–those that don’t have as much screen time–there is certainly some good news. Isa and David both shared that there would be more characters getting a bigger focus moving forward.
