Everything we know about Lore Season 2
Lore Season 2 will be here before you know it. With the information gathered from the NYCC 2018 panel, here’s everything we know so far ahead of the release later this month.
It isn’t going to be long before we get more chilling episodes of Lore. The second season will drop later this month and it’s all about the real stories and folklore. As the Lore Season 2 trailer tells us, the scariest stories are true.
While at NYCC 2018, the showrunners, EPs, podcast creator, and some of the stars took to the stage to share about the things to come. We also got some exclusive clips from three of the episodes, giving us an idea of what to expect. Here’s all we know right now about Lore Season 2 ahead of the season drop.

As Deanna Chapman shared, Lore Season 2 will feature episodes not on the podcast. Two episodes have not been in podcast form and there are no plans on bringing them into podcast form in the future. The reason? It’s simple, really. Some episodes work better visually and others through audio.
There will be some podcast episodes that will never be turned into show episodes, too. However, there are plenty of stories out there to tell, so you won’t feel like you’re missing out.

New showrunner is great for the show
Sean Crouch replaced Glen Morgan as the series showrunner earlier this year. It’s been a great direction for the show, as there’s more focus on the anthology setup and more horror into the story. Crouch has done shows like The Exorcist and DomInIon, so it’s not surprising that he’s well suited for Lore.
There was a lot of love for Crouch while at NYCC. It’s clear that he’s extremely excited about the series and is looking forward to tales like Elizabeth Bathory and Burke and Hare playing out on the screen. He’s managed to take all the different stories and turn them into a story of its own for the sake of the series.
The Walking Dead‘s Gale Anne Hurd is remaining with the show, along with Ben Silverman, Howard T. Owens, Brett-Patrick Jenkins, Jon Halperin, and Mark Mannucci.
The episode titles
As mentioned, there will be episodes about Burke and Hare and Elizabeth Bathory. According to IMDb, they are going to be the first two episodes of the season. They’re the two I’m most looking forward to purely from all the folklore stories I read growing up.
The other four episodes will be (in order) “Hinterkaifeck: Ghosts in the Attic,” “Prague Clock: The Curse of the Orloj,” “Mary Webster: The Witch of Hadley,” and “Jack Parsons: The Devil and the Divine.”
Each episode has a new set of actors playing different characters. It’s not entirely clear whether Aaron Mahnke will narrate the show as he did the first season. He’s not included on IMDb and it wasn’t a question that was brought up during NYCC 2018.
When it drops
Lore Season 2 is available on Amazon Prime Video on Oct. 19. All episodes will drop together and it will be available around the world.
There’s no word on whether a third season will be picked up just yet, but there are high hopes. This is a show with a lot of buzz.
