The Boys: What we know about the Amazon Prime Original
There are two new Prime Originals heading to NYCC 2018 with Amazon. The Boys is one of them and here’s all we know about the series so far.
Amazon will have four Prime Originals heading to NYCC 2018. The Boys is the third of them to get a panel and the first of the two new Prime Originals, destined for the platform in 2019.
Based on the comic book of the same name, The Boys is created by Supernatural legend Eric Kripke, along with Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen. The finale of the season will mark Kripke’s return to directing TV after “Lucifer Rising,” Supernatural‘s fourth season finale!
Starring Karl Urban, Elizabeth Shue, and Erin Moriarty, the series is set in a world with superheroes. They decide to embrace the darker side of fame and this world needs a group known as “the boys” to take down these corrupt superheroes. “The boys” don’t have powers of their own, but what’s described as a “blue-collar grit and willingness to fight dirty.”
