The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel cast and crew walk away with four Creative Arts Emmys
Over the weekend, the Creative Arts Emmys winners were announced. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel cast and crew walked away with four wins when you include a technicality.
There’s no doubt that The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is one of the best comedies on Amazon Prime. In fact, it’s possibly the best, especially considering the leads stars are hilarious women. That certainly showed with the Creative Arts Emmys over the weekend. When you include technicality, the cast and crew walked away with four wins.
The first win is certainly where the technicality comes into play. Alex Borstein won Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance. How does this connect to The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel? Well, while the award was for her roles of Lois Griffin, Babs Pewterschmidt and more on Family Guy, Borstein is known to Mrs. Maisel fans as Susie Myerson. The official Mrs. Maisel social media certainly congratulated the actress for her accomplishment.

All three are certainly well deserved. The Prime Original stands out because of its excellent casting. Rachel Brosnahan has impeccable timing and is certainly the star of the series. Who doesn’t love her quirky attitude, her fast-paced commentary, and her ability to draw from current political movements but keep the series purely set in the 1950s. Of course, the writing should certainly be commended for that!
There’s still chance for the series to win more awards. The 2018 Emmy Awards take place on Monday, Sept. 17. Brosnahan is nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series, while The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series. There are others that still haven’t been decided. I’ll bring you updates when they have.
For now, we can praise The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel cast and crew for walking away with four wins over the course of the night, even though one was for another project. Here’s to many more to come.
