Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn joining Amazon Studios, leaving Project Runway

Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn are officially walking away from Project Runway. They’ll start a new fashion competition show with Amazon Studios.

Amazon Studios are gaining two major names for a new reality competition series. Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn have announced they’re leaving the Bravo and Lifetime series Project Runway to create a new Amazon Studios Original, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The new show doesn’t have a name just yet. However, it’s going to be a fashion competition show that will be available to stream on Amazon Prime. This show will be available across all 200 territories across the globe and continues Klum and Gunn’s partnership, which has run for 14 years so far!

Klum shared that it was time to walk away from Project Runway, which has been on the air for 16 seasons. She is honored to have had the chance to create the show, but it now excited for the new venture.

Gunn also commented to say that Project Runway has put him on a path he never thought his career would see. He’s also excited for the fans to see what’s to come next with this new “fashion adventure.”

Amazon Studios is staying quiet on the new show. All the head of the studios, Jennifer Salke, shares is that it will be a global Prime Video show, joining the likes of Jack Ryan, The Man in the High Castle, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

As for Project Runway, nothing has been stated about the future for the series.

It’s certainly going to be disappointing for the fans. However, there’s a lot of excitement and hope for the new series with the partnership intact.
