Everything we know about The Man in the High Castle Season 3 so far
It won’t be too long now before The Man in the High Castle Season 3. Here’s everything we know about the season so far.
The Man in the High Castle Season 3 will be here before we know it. There are less than seven weeks before we get to binge another season of the popular alternate history series, which will see more focus on the alternate dimensions.
As we get closer, it’s time to break down expectations, questions, and wants for the season. To start off, here is everything we know about the season.

After the shocking twist at the end of the second season in Berlin, John Smith is on his way up in the ranks. He continues to prove himself useful and loyal to the Nazi cause. Of course, we know that he doesn’t fully believe in it and he tried everything he could to save his son, but he is a survivalist.
John and his wife will start to deal with the more restrictive life in the city. It looks like we’ll see more questions from the American couple, as they try to figure out the best step forward to protect those close to them. Maybe we’ll get more of a backstory, as I’d love to find out why he chose to join the Nazis instead of fight to his death. What type of offer was he made?

Nazis find a doorway to other dimensions
As for the Nazis, they’re not happy with just one world domination. Now they know that other worlds exist and they want to dominate those worlds too. In The Man in the High Castle Season 3 sneak peek released at New York Comic-Con 2017, we learned that the Nazis had figured out different worlds existed.
Dr. Josef Mengele, the infamous Nazi physician, who is described as a Nobel Prize-winning physician living in Berlin and continuing his research in the series, will make his appearance. John Hans Tester will take on the role.
More series regulars in The Man in the High Castle Season 3
While we may likely be losing Frank, we’re getting a few new series regulars to the series. One of those is someone we’ve already seen in a recurring role: Michael Gaston. He plays the hardware shop owner who befriended Frank shortly after Frank’s sister, niece, and nephew were killed by the Japanese.
In June 2017, Deadline also reported that Jason O’Mara would join the series as a series regular. He’ll play an Irish man who had escaped to New York after the Nazi regime got into Britain and Ireland.
Earlier this month, three new cast members were confirmed, one of those a series regular for The Man in the High Castle Season 3, according to Deadline. Frances Turner from The Gifted will take on the role of Bell Mallory, who escapes a Nazi Concentration Camp and gets to the Japanese Pacific States. While there, she befriends a member of a militant Black nationalist group dedicated to the liberation of African-Americans.
Part of that group is Elijah, played by new recurring member Cle Bennet. He is the first Bell meets and pulls her into the new group.
NCIS: Los Angeles‘ Rich Ting is the third new cast member, taking a recurring role in the season. He will play Captain Iijima, an ambitious officer in the Kempeitai. He’s described as Kido’s close deputy, so expect not to like him. At least, at first!
Bella Heathcote has also been upped to series regular, cast as Nicole Dormer. She’s a filmmaker, looking to make a name for herself. Will it be a good one?
There’s a new showrunner
During the second season, Frank Spotnitz left the series suddenly. The second season was managed without a true showrunner in place, but that won’t be the case for the third. Bosch executive producer Eric Overmyer has joined The Man in the High Castle Season 3 as showrunner.
This could be the reason for some of the delay in the drop date for the third season. Speaking of that…
Release date and The Man in the High Castle Season 4 confirmation
Finally, we have a release date. Oct. 5 is when the third season will drop on Amazon Prime Video. As usual, the full season will drop at once and it’s available with your Prime Membership at no additional cost.
While at San Diego Comic-Con 2018, the cast and crew also confirmed that the fourth season had been confirmed. This had been rumored before the release of the Season 3 premiere date, so it’s good to know they can jump straight into filming.
If you need a recap of the first two seasons, Amazon Prime has offered a 30 minute recap, narrated by the Man himself.
