10 most watched shows and movies on Amazon Prime Video in April
If you’re not watching these shows and movies on Amazon Prime Video, you’re missing out on the best from the streaming service.
Amazon had a great month in April with the release of new seasons from three of their most popular Original programs. Now, Amazon has put together a list of the top 10 most-watched shows on Prime Video for the month of April.
If you’re a frequent Prime Video watcher, then many of these titles will come as no surprise, but if you’ve used your Prime membership for free two-day shipping and not so much watching stuff on Amazon Video, then these are the titles you want to start watching.
The most-watched show in April was Bosch and that makes perfect sense since season 3 was released on April 21. Not only were fans watching the new season but many were watching the first two seasons to catch up before new episodes were released.

Coming in second place was Fortitude. Season 2 was billed as an Amazon Original and released on April 14. I was one of the new watchers of the show and watched the first two seasons in the span of a few days. The crime thriller set near the Arctic Circle was really well done.
Taking the bronze medal for April was Catastrophe. The third season was released on April 28, so I think Catastrophe may have a shot at the top spot in May. The Amazon Original comedy starring Rob Delaney and Sharon Horgan is the funniest show on Amazon Video and packs enough drama and emotion to make it an all-around great show.
Rounding out the top 10 are:
4. Hugh Hefner: American Playboy
5. The Man in the High Castle
6. Hello, My Name is Doris
7. Nine Lives
8. The Americans
9. The Dressmaker
10. Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood

Did any of the top 10 come as a surprise to you? I’m a little surprised none of the HBO shows made the top 10, but perhaps that could be due to those shows not having new seasons and therefore aren’t as hot as those that did make the cut.
Overall, the top 10 features something for people of all tastes, including a kids option with Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, so it’s good to see kids programming making the list. How many of the top 10 shows/movies have you seen?
