Updated ranking of the 50 best comedy TV shows on Amazon Prime Video for May, including the new season of Catastrophe, starring Rob Delaney and Sharon Horgan.

Open up Amazon Prime Video and get ready to add a bunch of shows to your watchlist. The May update for our ranking of the 50 best comedy TV shows on Amazon Prime Video for is highlighted by the new season of Amazon Original Catastrophe. Season 3 was released on April 28 and the show has lost zero steam from the success of the first two hilarious seasons.

Rob Delaney and Sharon Horgan have an unmistakable chemistry that is so fun to watch on the screen and I really believe they’re a married couple going through all of these situations. I really hope the two are recognized with some sort of prestigious award because the writing on the show is only matched by their acting.

If you haven’t watched Catastrophe, you’re missing out on the funniest Amazon Original series and one of the funniest shows you can stream on Amazon Prime.

While Catastrophe is more of a known commodity for Prime Video members, the same can’t be said yet for new series I Love Dick from Transparent creator Jill Soloway and co-creator Sarah Gubbins.

You can watch the pilot now but the full season won’t be released until May 12. The series is based on the best-selling novel and stars Kathryn Hahn as Chris who relocates to Marfa, Texas when her husband takes a residency in the art town.

She was supposed to be headed overseas for her own career, but when those plans go awry, she is stuck in town, but it’s not so bad when she meets and falls for Dick, played by Kevin Bacon. Here’s the twist, not only does Chris fall for Dick, but her husband falls for the hunky, artistic cowboy too.
