Robert Kirkman suggests the Invincible Season 3 release date will be confirmed this year

No, we do not expect to see Invincible Season 3 in 2024. However, it is highly possible that we’ll get the season in 2025.

During SDCC 2024, Robert Kirkman talked to The Direct. He shared some updates about Invincible Season 3, making it clear that the wait we saw for Season 2 isn’t going to happen again. Part of that is simply due to the way Amazon renewed the two seasons at the same time. It allowed for work on the two seasons to happen concurrently.

Now there’s some exciting news about Invincible Season 3. We may get a release date very soon.

Amazon could announce the Invincible Season 3 release date before the end of the year

Kirkman couldn’t say when the season would arrive, but he did tease that Amazon is set to release the information very soon. We will get a release date before the end of the year.

"I'll say that you'll definitely know when it's going to air in 2024. So that's something, that's information. I've said this before. And unfortunately, this is like a sum total of what I'm allowed to say currently. "

This could suggest that that the release date is going to be in early 2025. After all, Amazon doesn’t tend to share release dates too early. There have been a few times that Amazon has given us a year warning, with the first season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power being one of those times. Due to the long wait and the split season that we have for Invincible Season 2, Amazon could feel like fans deserve a longer warning for the season.

We did find out in early 2023 that we would get Invincible Season 2 in fall 2024. At the time, it’s possible that all episodes were going to air, but then the strike action delayed some of the post-production work, pushing the second half of the season to March 2024.

One of the stars of the series Ross Marquand had previously stated that an early 2025 release date was plausible for Invincible Season 3. Maybe we’re looking at March 2025 to match the release of Seasons 1 and the second half of Season 2.
