A new week is here, and we’re entering a new month. The start of a new month can be quiet for DVD and Digital releases, but that’s not the case this week. We have a few great movies and shows to look forward to.

There is something for everyone, whether you want fantasy, sci-fi, biopics, and more. All you need to do is decide whether for some of them you’re waiting for the DVD release or not. There are benefits to watching some movies on Digital.

Manifest Season 4, Back to Black, and more

We start with an NBC-turned-Netflix series. Manifest Season 4 is coming to DVD on Tuesday, June 4. It is a shame that nobody made an exception for the release of this for a Sunday instead. June 2, 2024 was the original Death Date in the series, and it would have been fitting to have the DVD release date on that date.

The fourth season dropped in two halves on Netflix, and it brought an end to the story of Flight 828 and the impending doom they were supposed to stop. Now it’s time to add it to your DVD collection so you can watch all the episodes whenever you want.

Doctor Who: Peter Davison Season 2 is another DVD release happening this week. Yes, Peter Davison; we’re heading back to the Classic Who series. Davison did three seasons as the character, regenerating in the penultimate episode of his third season. It was Davison’s decision to leave after Patrick Troughton advised him to only do three seasons of the series.

When it comes to Digital releases, it’s all about Back to Black. The Amy Winehouse biopic tells the story of the singer and songwriter. We get a look at her fight with drug addiction, alcoholism, and bulimia. The movie has gained some mixed opinions in the way it portrayed her story.

There is a Digital release on Friday, June 7 you’ll want to get ready for. The Strangers: Chapter 1 is already getting a release.
