It’s time to delve into the story of Amy Winehouse. Back to Black is now out in theaters, but when could you add it to your DVD collection?

Back to Black is the latest in the string of biopics about popular musicians and artists. We’ve had the likes of Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman that have gained a lot of attention for all the right reasons. The same can’t be said for the Amy Winehouse biopic, though. There are a few people coming out sharing their thoughts on the story chosen.

The movie follows the rise of Amy Winehouse as a musician, including her struggles with drug addition and bulimia. It all ends with her untimely death.

Back to Black DVD release date

With so much out in theaters this weekend, you may not have time to see everything. You want to wait for some movies to head to DVD instead, and this could be one of them. The movie is only just out in theaters, so there isn’t a release date just yet. However, we can look at when it could arrive on DVD and Blu-ray.

This is a Focus Features movie, so we’re looking at Lisa Frankenstein and Drive-Away Dolls to get a idea of when Back to Black could be out on DVD. It took two months for both of these movies to come out on DVD and Blu-ray, so we’re expecting the same to happen with this release. That puts the release as Tuesday, July 16.

What about the Digital release? We know that is usually much sooner. It took about three weeks for the two movies to head to Digital after their theatrical releases. We’re looking at something similar happening here, which puts the Digital release date at around Tuesday, June 4 or Tuesday, June 11.
