6 Amazon shows we're looking forward to on Prime Video in 2025

There are still a few months left of 2024, and there are certainly some great Amazon shows to look forward to. However, we’re waiting on other big releases that are being held for 2025 and beyond.

Some of these shows may have initially had a 2024 release date planned. The strike action in the summer put a few things on hold, leading to a push to 2025. We know they’ll be worth the wait, though.

It’s worth noting that Amazon hasn’t confirmed a few of the releases. There are some shows on this list that we expect or hope to see in 2025.

6 Amazon shows that should come to Prime Video in 2025

Reacher Season 3

We start with the third season of our favorite book-to-screen adaptation right now. Alan Ritchson is the Jack Reacher we imagined, and the Amazon series has been a huge success. Ritchson surprised everyone by sharing that Reacher Season 3 was in production even before we officially learned of its renewal.

Now we’re ready for it. The show itself will pick up off the back of Reacher finding his former team and separating from them again. However, they’re not completely gone from his life. Reacher calls for help when he needs it.

We know Reacher Season 3 will come to Prime Video in 2025, and we’re hoping for sometime at the start of the year.

Gen V Season 2

We always knew that The Boys spin-off series was going to be good. It’s another show that leaves us with a lot of questions and takes us on a few turns that we don’t expect. The second season will need to pick up off the back of the Season 1 finale ending, where our heroes ended up locked away in a Vought room.

This season will need to honor Chance Perdomo, who lost his life earlier this year. Andre isn’t going to be recast, which is great news, but how will the show write the character out while honoring the actor?

We’re fully expecting Gen V Season 2 to arrive in 2025, likely in the summer or the fall.

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3

After two successful seasons, it wasn’t surprising to hear that The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 would happen. After all, we need to see the next part of Belly’s story, and there are three books to adapt in the trilogy.

The second season ended with Belly choosing Jeremiah. If the show follows the books, we’ll see the two still together, but they’re not as happy as they were at the end of the second season. Can the two make it work, or has it always been Conrad?

The Summer I Turned Pretty is one of the Amazon shows expected in 2025. Likely in the summer.

Upload Season 4

It took a while, but Amazon finally confirmed that there would be more to the futuristic, digital series. Upload Season 4 is going to be the last, though. This is a creative decision, which means closure to the story.

We’ll pick up off the back of the reveal that all clones were destroyed. One Nathan survives, but which one? The show promises not to go back into the love triangle that the first couple of seasons had, but how will everyone be able to live in harmony?

Upload Season 4 will hopefully arrive in 2025, but this series does have a long post-production process and we may need to wait until 2026.

The Wheel of Time Season 3

Well ahead of The Wheel of Time Season 2 arrived, we learned that there would be a third season. This mean that the pre-production work could get started immediately, and filming didn’t take long after that. The series has shown it needs two years between seasons, and with 2023 being the release year of Season 2, we’re expecting 2025 for Season 3.

The end of the second season saw Rand killing the Forsaken thanks to the help of his friends. Moirane was able to reconnect with the One Power and she could destroy the Seanchant fleet before conjuring a dragon of fire to proclaim that Rand is the Dragon Reborn. Season 3 will follow the storyline of Book 4 in the series.

We’re hoping to see The Wheel of Time Season 3 sometime in the middle toward the end of 2025.

Malice Season 1

Finally, there’s a new Amazon show to look forward to. Malice stars Jack Whitehall as Adam Healey, a “manny” who infiltrates the wealthy but brash Tanner family. His aim is to destroy them all, but will he end up having a change of heart?

The series takes place in both London and Greece. It’s not just a comedic series thanks to Whitehall, but it is a psychological thriller that includes some manipulation and betrayal. Of course, one thing we want to know is why Adam despises Jamie Tanner so much.

Amazon has confirmed that Malice will arrive in 2025.
