3 Amazon shows from 2023 we’re worried about being canceled

There have been some big and intriguing Amazon shows in 2023. Some of those people aren’t talking about. Here are three we’re worried will be canceled.

2023 saw the arrival of some great and funny shows. Sadly, a few of them have been canceled abruptly, and we’re salty about them. Yes, we’re talking about the likes of With Love and The Horror of Dolores Roach.

Then there are other shows that were quickly and unsurprisingly renewed. Even Reacher landing a renewal ahead of the Season 2 premiere wasn’t surprising.

Yet, there are a lot of shows that don’t have the same buzz and noise as those like Gen V and Citadel. That leads to us worrying about them being canceled. Here are three that we’re most worried about right now.

3 Amazon shows that could be canceled in 2023

Class of ’07

While there are some small publications reporting a renewal, I can’t find where the source comes from. They don’t even link to a source, which makes it hard to track the validity of the statements. I’d love to be proven wrong, though!

Class of ’07 was a great, female-led dramedy that followed the end of the world. A group of 28-year-olds are trapped in their former high school when there’s a flood that takes out the rest of what seems to be the country and potentially the world.

We see them deal with the reality of what’s happened, figure out what to do next, and deal with the trauma and actions from their high school years.

The series dropped in March 2023 and there still isn’t any word on it. At least, not from any big publications.

The Power

Another female-led series that’s in danger is The Power. This series followed a world where women (starting with teenagers) gained the ability to control electricity from their hands. It turned out that it was a genetic element to all women—and the show also does a great job touching on androgyny.

Of course, as women gain actual powers, there is fear from people around them. It’s not just men who are afraid either. A lot of people are, as it means a complete shift in power. And then there’s those “alpha males” who think that there’s something wrong with the women with these abilities and they need to do harm to them.

The series focuses on that shift in power and the fear that comes with it. It was left open-ended for more stories to tell, but the series wrapped in May and there’s still been no word on a renewal.

The Consultant

Christoph Waltz is one of those actors you cannot take your eyes off. So, it’s surprising that we’ve still not heard anything about The Consultant. It leads to us fearing that this is one of the 2023 Amazon shows that is going to be quietly canceled.

The series follows a new consultant brought in to help a company after the sudden death of its CEO. This consultant is asking for some scary and somewhat illegal things, and either the employees follow his orders or they end up fired—or maybe even worse. It’s up to the staff to get to the bottom of the conspiracy.

Nat Wolff, who starred on the series, has said that there are stories for a second season. However, he also admits that the series works as a limited series.

The series premiered in February 2023 and we still haven’t heard anything about it, which isn’t a good sign.
