Will Loki Season 2 come to DVD and Blu-ray?

We’ve come to the end of another season of Loki. While we wait for renewal news, eyes are on whether there’s the ability to add it to our DVD collections.

Disney had originally decided not to release its original content to DVD and Blu-ray, but made it clear that could change in the future. Well, it certainly changed. We’ve seen seasons of Loki, The Mandalorian, and more come to DVD and Blu-ray.

Yes, the Tom Hiddleston series was one of those that got a DVD release date this year. Only the first season, as the news hit before the second season aired on the streamer. It suggests that we will likely see the second season released in the same way.

When could Loki Season 2 come to DVD and Blu-ray?

Now it comes to when we’re likely to see that release happen. This is something that we can’t predict. Disney+ Originals being released in this format is too new, and there has been no consistency between the shows.

The first season was released on Disney+ in the spring of 2021. It took until September 2023 for the series to get a DVD release date. If we follow that pattern, then we could have to wait until December 2025 for Loki Season 2 to get a DVD and Blu-ray release.

It’s possible that Disney won’t make us wait that long, though. A lot of streaming platforms take between four and 12 months to release original content to DVD and Blu-ray. We could see something by the spring of next year if Disney follows this pattern. It’s just hard to say with Disney changing its DVD tactics and the SAG-AFTRA strike ending and bringing changes to the world of streaming.
