Disney made it clear that the Marvel and Star Wars shows wouldn’t immediately come to DVD. Well, Loki Season 1 now has a DVD release date.
When the Marvel shows first came to Disney+, it was clear that we wouldn’t immediately get DVD releases. However, there was hope that we would get the releases in the future. Disney even said that it could be something down the line.
That future is here. A few Disney+ shows are getting DVD releases, including Loki and The Mandalorian. We can’t wait to add them to our collections, but now we need to know when the releases will happen and whether there’s an option to pre-order them.
When will Loki Season 1 come to DVD and Blu-ray?
The first season of the Tom Hiddleston-led drama will arrive on DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday, Sept. 26. This is just a week before the second season of the series premieres on Disney+. Admittedly, it is a little surprising to see it arrive before Season 2, but we’ll take it!
As of writing this, there isn’t an option to pre-order Loki Season 1 on Amazon. This could be due to the release only just happening, or it could be to help minimize the number of people buying the DVD so they keep watching on the streaming platform. Honestly, buying the DVDs don’t prevent people watching on the streaming platforms. I can vouch for that as someone who has plenty of DVDs and still watches everything on streaming.
Back to the series, though. You’ll want to keep an eye on when the series is available to pre-order. It’s worth doing it this way so you can set and forget. You’ll also land the price guarantee, so you pay the lowest price up to the release date.
