Citadel Season 2 is not coming to Prime Video in November 2023
We would love to delve back into the world of Citadel, but we have a wait on our hands. When could we see Citadel Season 2 on Prime Video?
There are a fair few Amazon shows that we’re waiting for, and Citadel is one of them. This action thriller took us down many rabbit holes and twisty paths. We had some major reveals at the end of the season, and now we need more.
The bad news is Citadel Season 2 is not on the list of releases on Prime Video in November. That’s not too surprising when you consider everything that is going on right now. After all, there’s been all the strike action, which is still going on. It’s impossible for production of any SAG-AFTRA show to happen right now.
When will Citadel Season 2 premiere on Prime Video?
It’s hard to say when we could see the new season. It looks like this show has been in the 2025 schedule for Amazon for some time. After all, this series wasn’t canceled when The Peripheral and A League of Their Own were. Amazon canceled those two shows due to the strike action as they were part of the 2024 plans.
A 2025 premiere for Citadel Season 2 would make sense. We know that another show within this same universe is coming out next year. We’ll get to see Citadel: Diana at some point in 2024, and it doesn’t make sense for Amazon to bring both shows out in the same year. Spreading out the content will help to keep people subscribing to the platform.
We’ll know a little more once production can start up again. We know that the show is moving to California for the second season for the tax breaks.
