Amazon has finally confirmed when The Wheel of Time Season 2 will premiere on Prime Video. Get all the details so far here.

There is finally some great news about The Wheel of Time Season 2. After questions about when it would arrive, we finally have a premiere date. There is still a bit of a wait on our hands, but the end is nigh.

Of course, we go into this season knowing that it won’t be the end. Amazon has already renewed the series for a third season. However, there are expected to be some delays due to the writers strike.

When will The Wheel of Time Season 2 premiere on Prime Video?

There is still a wait, but the show will arrive in the fall. The Wheel of Time Season 2 premieres on Friday, Sept. 1. This is later than we expected, but at least it’s happening.

TVLine didn’t confirm a weekly schedule, but that’s what we’re expecting. The first season arrived with three episodes at first and then the rest of the eight episodes airing weekly. It’s been a positive model for Amazon, starting with The Boys Season 2, so why would Amazon change that now?

The weekly release format is even more important right now. There’s going to be a point where there isn’t much in the way of scripted programming coming out. The writers strike is going to delay a lot, and while there is some content banked, streamers will eventually run out. So, the weekly release format will help to keep subscribers for a little while longer.

At least Amazon has other ways of making money unlike a few other streamers out there.

So, wee are expecting the first three episodes on Sept. 1 and then a weekly release from that point. The second season finale will air in 2023.
