The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 is not coming to Prime Video in May 2023

We are certainly ready to see what The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 has in store for us. When will we get to watch the episodes?

I all fairness, we did not expect the release of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 this month. That didn’t stop us from double-checking the list just in case, but we just didn’t expect to see the release happen. Not only has Amazon not mentioned anything about it coming in May, but this is a summer show—the clue is in the name of it!

We are expecting some news about the second season soon, though. Here’s what we do know about the release, including a prediction of the date.

When will The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 come to Prime Video?

There was a lot working against The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 coming in May 2023. One of those factors is that The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5 still has episodes to come this month. While the two shows don’t hit the exact same audience, they are both in similar genres. Plus, they are both big shows for the streamer. Amazon won’t want to bring two similar shows out at the same time.

Plus, the clue for the season of release is in the title of the show. It’s all about summer, and we’re expecting the episodes sometime between June and September of this year.

In fact, we definitely know that The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 is coming this summer. Amazon announced that on social media in April. The image for the season doesn’t include any of the parents, so we’re not too sure whether Susannah is going to be in the season or not. She’s not in the second book, but that doesn’t mean some changes can’t be made for the show’s storyline.

June is plausible as filming has completely finished and post-production will be close to ending. Amazon could hold for July, though. It’s really going to depend on the big shows that are still to come out this year and what’s ready right now.
