Class of ’07 release date, cast, synopsis, trailer, and more
If you’re looking for a slightly funnier version of Yellowjackets and The Wilds, Amazon has your back. Get ready for Class of ’07.
There is no doubt that post-apocalyptic shows are what we’re after right now. Look at the success of The Wilds (I swear, the pandemic delays had everything to blame for the cancellation), Yellowjackets, and recently The Last of Us. They all have one thing in common: they are serious versions of the story.
Sometimes, you want something a little on the comedic side. We don’t need a reminder that the end of the world brings disaster. We want to see the humorous side of things to bring us pure entertainment. That’s what Class of ’07 promises to bring.
Class of ’07 release date
The Amazon series is coming to Prime Videon on March 17. All episodes are set to drop together rather than the hybrid releases recent shows have gained.
Class of ’07 cast
The Australian series certainly has some familiar faces. American Gods‘s star Emily Browning takes on the role of Zoe Miller, who clearly doesn’t want to be at her high school reunion. Caitlin Stasey from Reign plays Saskia, who is ready to get everyone into shape. The main trio of leads is rounded out by Megan Smart Peter Rabbit 2 as Amelia.
Other cast members include:
- Claire Lovering as Genevieve
- Emma Horn as Renee
- Sana’a Shaik as Teresa
- Rose Flanagan as Laura
- Chi Nguyen as Megan
- Steph Tisdell as Phoebe
Class of ’07 synopsis
What sort of disaster are we set for? Well, this series sees a group of women attended their high school reunion when a tidal wave cuts them off from everywhere. They are forced to figure out how to survive while they either wait to be rescued or figure out a way to call for help. They’re running out of food and clean water, and that means they’re panicking.
Here’s the official synopsis for Amazon:
"When an apocalyptic tidal wave hits during the ten-year reunion of an all-girls high school, a group of women must find a way to survive on the island peak of their high school campus."
Class of ’07 trailer
The trailer for the series is out, and it shares just how hilarious this show is going to be. While there is the disaster plotline, it’s more about survival afterward. Will this involve any cults as the adults figure out how they’ll live?
Class of ’07 is coming to Prime Video on Friday, March 17.
