Is Carnival Row Season 2 coming in 2023?

We have waited extremely patiently for Carnival Row Season 2. It isn’t arriving in 2022, but will we get to see it next year?

It has been a long wait for Carnival Row Season 2. The series was renewed ahead of its release back in the summer of 2019. It didn’t take too long for filming to start, but then the world shut down. There was one thing after another that prevented filming from happening as it should.

At one point, we had rumors of the season being split in two, and then we heard it was coming in 2022. Well, everything has changed. We will not get the new season this year, but will Carnival Row Season 2 premiere in 2023?

There is some excellent news. We will definitely get the show in 2023. This isn’t a rumor. Amazon has confirmed that Carnival Row Season 2 will come out on Friday, Feb. 17, 2023.

Now there is some bad news to go with all this. The first is that the second season is definitely the last. While there have been rumors, we now have confirmation that the story is coming to an end. Whether it’s been written that way or not isn’t clear, but we think there will have been time for that.

The second piece of bad news is that the release won’t be as a binge-watch. This is getting a weekly release, which suggests Amazon is pushing for as many subscribers to see the ending as possible. Usually, we’d say that this is a way to push for a renewal, but it’s likely just a way to see if this sort of release is better for shows than a binge-watch, even when offered a final season order.

Carnival Row Season 2 will come to Prime Video on Friday, Feb. 17.
