Good Omens Season 2 is not coming in August 2022

We are more than ready to see Crowley and Aziraphale back in action. The wait for Good Omens Season 2 on Prime Video continues.

At first, it didn’t look like there would be a second season of Good Omens. The series was billed as a limited series, and it was based on a one-book story. The only reason it was a one-book story was because Sir Terry Pratchett sadly died before he and Neil Gaiman could finish the sequel.

Gaiman didn’t originally want to bring us a second season. In the end, he decided the story deserved to be told. Prime Video also thought the story needed to be told, and so we got the second season confirmed.

Now we wait for that second season. As much as we would love to see it, the series was not on the list of Prime Video releases in August. When can we expect it?

When will Good Omens Season 2 come to Prime Video?

There is a wait on our hands, but work is still going on behind the scenes. While filming wrapped back in March, the series has a lengthy post-production process for all the visual effects. This can take six to eight months in a lot of cases, and we’re looking at the eight-month timeframe for this show.

That would suggest a November 2022 release date. We would love it if post-production could be reduced just by a month to bring us the story in time for Halloween, but we totally get it if that’s not possible. We’d rather have a great job than a rushed job.

There is still a chance we’ll see Good Omens Season 2 before 2022 comes to an end. If that isn’t possible, though, we’re looking at early 2023. Just know that the work is going on, but Gaiman is just as excited for us to see it as we are to see it!
