We haven’t even seen the second season of Upload yet, but there’s some great news. The writers have started on Upload Season 3.

Upload Season 2 arrives on Prime Video at the end of this week. It’s going to be a binge-watch, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for Nathan, Nora, Ingrid, and the many others in both the digital and real worlds.

There are a lot of questions left over from the first season. We’ve waited patiently to see what’s in store, but there’s some good news about the wait for Upload Season 3. It may not be as long unless there are filming delays.

Creator Greg Daniels shared with Collider that work has already started on writing Upload Season 3.

Is Upload Season 3 happening at Prime Video?

If the work has already started, does that mean the series has been renewed already? Prime Video hasn’t officially confirmed anything just yet.

Even Daniels says that they haven’t received a quiet confirmation that they’re going to be renewed. The decision to start on writing the season has come from positive reviews so far. There’s the confidence that Upload Season 3 is going to happen, and that settles our minds a little.

It’s important to get a head start on the season, even if it means the work is for nothing. This is a series that is heavy in the visual effects, which is why it took so long from filming wrapping on Season 2 to being released on Prime Video. To keep the wait for the third season to a minimum, some of the pre-production work needs to start now.

This doesn’t mean the wait will be short. Filming and then post-production will still need to happen. However, we’re hoping that the wait won’t be almost two years again.
