In the mood for more laughter from a digital afterlife? Upload Season 2 is happening, and filming has officially started. Here’s what we know so far.

It has been a long wait for the second season to start filming. You can blame the pandemic for that. We were warned that the second season would start filming in January, and now we have the confirmation that it’s happening.

Robbie Amell, star of the series, share the update on his Instagram. A few members of the cast are in the photo, including Allegra Edwards, Zainab Johnson, and Owen Daniels. Andy Allo and Kevin Bigley were tagged in the post as both of them are confirmed returning for the second season.

It’s certainly exciting news for fans of the show. Take a look at the Upload Season 2 update below.

When can we expect Upload Season 2 on Amazon Prime Video?

It leads to us needing to look at an update on when the show will premiere. It often takes a year for filming and post-production to take place.

While we had initially hoped that we would get more episodes of the digital afterlife dramedy in 2021, it is unlikely to happen. We’re looking at January 2022, although we definitely won’t be disappointed if that turns out to be wrong and new episodes do drop later this year after all.

There are a lot of protocols for filming now, though. As you’ll see in the post, some are wearing masks. There are also mandatory COVID tests to make sure everyone remains healthy.

Once we get more of an idea of when the show will premiere we’ll be sure to let you know.
