The Expanse Season 6 finale certainly left us with a lot of questions. Will we get answers in The Expanse Season 7 at Prime Video?

There’s no doubt that you’re ready for another season of The Expanse. The Season 6 finale left us with far more questions than it did answers, especially when it comes to the ring planet that saw the dog bringing things back to life in a Pet Sematary sort of way.

So, you’re looking at what Prime Video’s plan is for more seasons of the series. This is where we have a lot of bad news for you.

Is The Expanse Season 7 happening?

Sadly, there isn’t going to be a seventh season of the series. At least, not in the current format that it’s in. The Expanse Season 6 was confirmed as the final season.

The season also had to be reduced in size. It went from what was likely to be 10 episodes initially to six episodes. Part of that was due to cost, and another part would have been linked to the pandemic. That’s why a lot felt rushed and questions were left unanswered.

Will there be an Expanse spin-off?

Does this mean there’s never going to be anything more from the series? The ending of the show doesn’t seem to be a creator decision, even though it seemed that way initially. It looks like it was Amazon’s choice, but that seems extremely odd considering the popularity of the sci-fi series.

It’s clear that the showrunners are happy to bring more to the story. This could mean a spin-off happens at some point. We’d love to see a spin-off with the ring planets. Or maybe a spin-off that focuses on Filip. Those were the two main storylines that had a lot of potential and were left completely open.

As for now, there isn’t a plan for a spin-off, though. We’ll keep an eye out for any changes to that.
