I Know What You Did Last Summer official trailer release
By Renee Hansen
The TV series I Know What You Did Last Summer is based on the ’90s movies of the same name and the 1973 novel by Lois Duncan. The first four episodes will be released right away on Friday, Oct. 15, with the remaining four releasing each Friday through Nov. 12.
With the success of Netflix’s Scream series, horror fans are excited to see if I Know What You Did Last Summer will stand the test and live up to its film’s popularity. With the release coming just in time for the Halloween horror watching season, it is bound to be a well-watched series.
As in the films, a group of teens must live with a horrific secret only they know. But, someone else knows and returns to terrorize and kill them one by one.
The film stars Madison Iseman, Brianne Tju, Ezekiel Goodman, Ashley Moore, Sebastian Amoruso, Fiona Rene, Cassie Beck, Brooke Bloom, and Bill Heck. Sonya Balmores, Spencer Sutherland, and Chrissie Fit will have recurring roles in this series.
I Know What You Did Last Summer official trailer
The trailer gives us a bit of deja vu as this opening scene looks very familiar. This series is reminiscent of the films with a modern twist, which is exactly what the creators are going for. After a night of partying, the teens head home only to hit someone on the road, killing them. Instead of calling law enforcement, they hide the body.
One year later, when they all feel safe that they are the only ones who will ever know, someone shows up who knows what happened. No one is safe as a killer starts stalking them and picking them off one by one. This looks like an excellent slasher series.
