We know Lovecraft Country Season 2 isn’t happening at HBO, but could it be saved elsewhere? Here’s what we know about the second season so far.

Yes, Lovecraft Country was canceled at HBO. Does that really mean the show is over? Misha Green has inked an overall deal with Apple TV+, which offers a little hope that the series could be revived.

Okay, it probably won’t be. The actors have been released from contracts and they’ll have moved on. That doesn’t stop us wishing that the story could be continued in some format.

With that in mind, we’re looking at what could come with Lovecraft Country Season 2. We’ll update this post if we ever get the good news that the series is saved.

Lovecraft Country Season 2 premiere date

We can’t predict a premiere date since there isn’t a renewal just yet. The show has been canceled. We’d probably see it take at least 18 months from the renewal as sets would need to be rebuilt and casting would need to happen.

Lovecraft Country Season 2 cast

There are a few actors that we’d love to see return to the series if it is ever revived. They are:

• Jurnee Smollett as Letitia “Leti” Lewis
• Aunjanue Ellis as Hippolyta Freeman
• Wunmi Mosaku as Ruby Baptiste
• Jamie Chung as Ji-Ah
• Jada Harris as Diana Freeman
• Michael K. Williams as Montrose Freeman

Considering the way things happened throughout the first season, it’s hard to say if the following could return. Just remember that there is magic involved and other supernatural elements so there’s nothing to say that they can’t return in some way. They are:

• Jonathan Majors as Atticus “Tic” Freeman
• Courtney B. Vance as George Freeman
• Abbey Lee as Christina Braithwhite

Lovecraft Country Season 2 synopsis

The season would need to pick up where things ended in the Season 1 finale. Tic sacrificed himself in the hope of stopping Christina’s plan. It looked like everything was for nothing at first, but then Leti managed to come through.

Magic is now only for Black people. It’s time for the tables to turn, and we were certainly excited to see what that meant.
