June is certainly a quiet month on Amazon Prime Video. There aren’t any Amazon Original Movies heading our way throughout the month, although that doesn’t mean previous releases aren’t worth watching.

This could be a great time to catch up on some of the past releases, such as The Vast of Night and Sound of Metal. Don’t forget about One Night in Miami and Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse depending on your preferences of genre.

5 must-watch movies on Amazon next month

There is something for all interests. The majority of the releases are happening at the start of the month, but there is one you’ll need to wait until around the middle of the month for.

Burn After Reading

We start with the action-comedy starring Brad Pitt, George Clooney, John Malkovich, and many more great names. One of the great things is that many of the actors play characters that you don’t normal get to see them play.

When two gym employees come across a CD with a CIA agent’s memoirs, they decide to cash in. They want to see the memoirs back to the agent, and if that doesn’t work, they’ll sell everything to the Russians. Of course, things don’t work the way they planned.

Chicken Run

Need something for the whole family? Why not put on Chicken Run? Mel Gibson does the voice of the main character, a rooster who is determined to escape the chicken farm he’s currently trapped in.

Rocky and a fellow chicken called Ginger realize that the owner is planning to kill them. They’re not about to let that happen, so they plan their escape. And yes, their escape is as crazy as you would think for an animated kids’ movie.

Dear John

Next up is Dear John starring Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried. The 2010 movie follows John and Savannah, two people who are in love but end up with fate testing their love and their relationship.

After the attacks on 9/11, John decides to re-enlist into the Army. He keeps in touch with Savannah via letters, but is it going to be enough for her? This is a story that covers the years and not just a few months, making things exceptionally difficult.

This Means War

If you’re in the mood for a comedy, Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine, and Tom Hardy star in This Means War. Look, it’s not the greatest comedy ever made, but it has some cute and funny moments.

Pine and Hardy play two CIA agents and best friends. When they both fall in love with the same woman, they will stop at nothing to win her heart. Will it bring an end to their friendship?
