Panic is the new YA series heading to Amazon Prime Video at the end of the week. Just what is Panic about, and should you watch it?

Like so many other shows, Panic is based on a YA novel of the same name. The book is by Lauren Oliver, who has been involved in the writing of the TV series. She gets the chance to bring her own book to life, which isn’t possible for so many authors.

If you’ve read the book, you’ll get an idea of what to expect on the show. For those who haven’t read the book, you don’t need to if you don’t have the time right now. However, it’s certainly going to be worth reading afterward to see what some of the changes are.

Before you start watching a new show, you want to get an idea of what it’s about. Is it going to be worth the watch? Here’s all you need to know about the new Amazon Original Series.

What is the plot of Panic?

The series is set in a small town in Texas where everyone knows everyone. Every year, the graduating students have the chance of winning a life-changing sum of money. Only one person can win but anyone from the graduating class can play.

Nobody knows how this game got started. All they know is that it’s designed to make people scared and then allow them to get over their fears.

While the games aren’t designed to kill anyone, there have been some fatalities. That’s led to the cops wanting to shut the game down, and this summer, the sheriff will stop at nothing to bring an end to the game once and for all. Is he doing that for the right reason?

If you love shows like Pretty Little Liars and The Wilds, this is going to be a new show worth checking out.
