Upload Season 2 release date, cast, trailer, synopsis, and more

We know Upload Season 2 is happening, and we know filming has started. What else do we know about the upcoming season on Amazon Prime Video?

Upload Season 2 filming began in January 2021. It is delayed from initial plans due to the pandemic, but at least things are happening. We know the second season will arrive soon, and hopefully sometime this year.

We don’t know too much about the season just yet. The great thing about this post is it becomes a hub for all the updates that will happen. You can bookmark this post to revisit it as there are more updates.

What do we know about Upload Season 2 so far?

Upload Season 2 release date

There isn’t a release date just yet, especially since the show has only just started filming and the pandemic continues. However, we do have some hope that it will arrive sometime in 2021. We’re probably looking at fall or early winter 2021.

Will it be a weekly release like The Boys and The Expanse? That’s going to depend on Greg Daniels and the creative team. Weekly releases do offer shows a longer life in the public eye for each season, and it could help to keep shows on the air for longer.

Upload Season 2 cast

Of course, Robbie Amell is returning for the series, reprising his role as the coder Nathan Brown. We’ll also see Andy Allo return as Nora Anthony.

The following cast members will return for the second season:

• Zainab Johnson as Aleesha
• Kevin Bigley as Luke
• Allegra Edwards as Ingrid
• Owen Daniels as AI Guy

We will also probably see Jordan Johnson-Hinds return as Jamie, Nathan’s former business partner. Jamie may be key to help figure out who killed Nathan.

Matt Ward will also likely return as Byron. Andy left town with him at the end of the first season due to someone trying to kill her.

There isn’t a trailer yet, which isn’t surprising since the show hasn’t filmed yet. We probably won’t see a trailer until about a month before the release date. We may get a teaser of what’s to come, though.

Upload Season 2 synopsis

While there isn’t an official synopsis just yet, we can take a look at storylines that are expected during Upload Season 2.

We left Nathan in the 2gb area after deciding he was no longer going to accept money off Ingrid. However, Ingrid uploaded herself to be with Nathan and after she gave him some credit to unfreeze him (when he used it up to save Andy), his reaction caused him to use all his data again.

Meanwhile, Andy is out in the real world with someone trying to kill her. She knows that Nathan was murdered for his code, and she wants to get to the bottom of it.

Of course, Nathan wants to get to the bottom of who murdered him. It’s just not going to be that easy when he’s no longer in the unlimited data area.
