Of course, her abusive ex isn’t going to let her get away with it. He wants her and the children back under his control. That means doing everything he can to prove she’s an unfit parent.

Sandra will do whatever she can to fight for her children. That means making it clear what she thinks of all the questions the courts routinely ask battered women.

It’s a beautiful, character-driven story. For those who love epic storytelling and a wonderful message, Herself is a movie for you.
