Retaliation

Let’s start with a thriller that is available as of today on Amazon Prime Video. Retaliation stars Orlando Bloom as a young man who is dealing with a traumatic past. He was sexually abused as a child by a priest everyone knew and loved. Not only does he have to deal with the truth of that, but he also wants to get revenge.

It’s a dark story, but it certainly gives Bloom a chance to shine.

The Secret: Dare to Dream

Katie Holmes’s The Secret: Dare to Dream was released in theaters and on VOD/DVD earlier this year. Now it’s time to watch it on Amazon Prime Video. Holmes plays Miranda Wells, a young widow who is just trying to raise her three children alone. When a mysterious man shows up, he gives them the permission they need to dream, but he also has a secret that could be a danger to all.

The movie is now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

Planes

Need something for the children? STARZ has you covered with so many options. Frozen and Monsters University are two great options available, but you may be “Let It Go’d” out. It’s time to turn to something a little different.

Planes is a wonderful underdog story. Made by those behind Cars, it focuses on talking machines. A dust cropper wants to take part in the greatest air race in the world, proving that he has what it takes.

You can watch on STARZ with Amazon Channels. You can also watch the sequel, Planes: Fire and Rescue.

Brahms: The Boy II

SHOWTIME is the next place for must-see movies on Amazon this weekend. If you like horror, give Brahms: The Boy II a chance. You may have decided to skip it in theaters after the first movie, but this is a chance to see what it really is like for your own eyes.

A young family moves into the Heelshire’s residence, where they find a doll that seems to be far more human than it should be.

You can watch on SHOWTIME with Amazon Channels.

Platoon

Finally, we turn our attention back to Amazon Prime Video. The first of the month brought plenty of excellent content. One movie that didn’t make our list of must-see movies on Amazon last week was Platoon. It’s time to watch it this week.

The movie has an outstanding cast focused on a group of Army soldiers during the Vietnam war. It’s a harrowing tale filled with heartache and tears. However, it’s one of the most important movies from the 1980s to watch.
