The most read Amazon books from Oct. 11 to Oct. 17

We are into a new week, which means a look back at last week’s list of most read Amazon books. What were readers choosing from Oct. 11 to Oct. 17?

There was a little movement in the Top 5. While Midnight Sun continues to hold the top spot, the three Harry Potter books that usually take up the next three places moved back into those spots. They’d slipped a place each during the previous week when Jim Butcher’s Battle Ground entered the list. Battle Ground now holds fifth place.

Ken Follett’s The Evening and the Morning continues to climb, this time gaining another spot. It’s just outside the Top 5 and could be there next week. There was a little movement outside the Top 10, too, with a number of books moving up a place on the list.

The biggest mover was Heaven’s River by Dennis E. Taylor. After joining the list last week, it lost four places this week. Can it hold onto a place?

Meanwhile, Nicholas Sparks’s new novel The Return was the only new addition on the list. It’s not surprising considering a) it’s Nicholas Sparks and b) it was on the list of most sold Amazon books the previous week. There’s a chance we’ll see this move up the list during this week, but what will it replace?
