With the Hunger Games prequel movie out, it’s not surprising to see the book move up the list of most read Amazon books last week.

One thing that won’t surprise a lot of people is the rise of The Ballard of Songbirds and Snakes. The prequel to The Hunger Games series soared up the list to land in third place. Of course, Fourth Wing and Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros continued to hold the top two spots.

With the Hunger Games prequel just out in theaters, of course fans were going to turn to the book. They’ll want to see the deeper story as the movies always have to cut out some details

New Michael Connelly enters, Lessons in Chemistry falls

Resurrection Walk by Michael Connelly was the new addition to the most read Amazon books list last week. That’s not surprising as there are plenty of Lincoln Lawyer fans out there. We may see it stay on the list for a few weeks before dropping off, which often happens with Connelly’s books.

A notable drop was Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus. While the book is popular, the Apple TV series just came to an end last week. We may see an uptick in readers for a week or two, but then there will be other books that likely make it to the two book lists.

Yet, A Court of Thorns and Roses and A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas gained a spot each on the list. The ACOTAR series has gained some interest through BookTok, so it’s not surprising that the books remain on this list. Fans also want to know more about the TV series that was in development at Hulu, so they may be rereading in anticipation for that.
