The most read Amazon books of the week from Oct. 4 to Oct. 10

It’s time for a look at how the list of most read Amazon books of the week has changed. Between Oct. 4 and Oct. 10, two new books joined the list, causing disruption everywhere.

Well, not quite everywhere. The Top 5 didn’t change too much, with Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer remaining in the top spot. The three Harry Potter books that have sat in the Top 5 for the last few months also remained in their spots.

The big change was the new Jim Butcher novel, Battle Ground, entering in second place. This knocked Dune down, but not just down one spot. With the Harry Potter books remaining in places three to five, Dune dropped to sixth place. This may be linked to the movie being pushed back to 2021.

Dune wasn’t the only book moving down. The other Harry Potter books and Troubled Blood all saw movement down the list. Where the Crawdads Sing continues to drop from the Top 10, moving into 14th place last week.

Total Power by Vince Flynn & Kyle Mills dropped four places, like Dune, landing into 18th place.

There was just one book that moved up the list. Ken Follett’s The Evening and the Morning gained one spot on the list. Meanwhile, Heaven’s River by Dennis E. Taylor made it on the list for the first time, after joining the list of most sold Amazon books the previous week. It’s an Audible Original, which means tracking how much its read is much easier.
