The Addams Family 2 is happening and Javon “Wanna” Walton is involved
After the success of the first animated movie, The Addams Family 2 is happening. Most of the cast will return, except one. And that one will be replaced by Utopia‘s Javon “Wanna” Walton.
Stranger Things’s Finn Wolfhard isn’t returning to voice Pugsley Addams. That’s okay, we have the “youngest mass murderer” to take on the role instead. At least, that’s what Harvest made him look to be on Utopia, and it’s led to some trouble for the group as they get their hands on the graphic novel that tells the future.
There’s nothing like that for Walton’s Pugsley in the second animated movie, though. Well, we don’t think so! Pugsley doesn’t tend to get a lot of the big storylines in the movies, except for when it’s getting up to trouble with his Uncle Fester.
What we know about The Addams Family 2
All we know right now is the movie will happen under the MGM banner. There is no information about the storyline, although we do know there will be a new character called Cyrus. He’ll be voiced by Barry‘s Bill Hader.
The animated movie is set to debut in theaters on Oct. 8, 2021. Of course, this is a tentative date. Many studios have pushed their release dates to 2021, but there’s still a chance that the pandemic will be ongoing throughout next year. We hope it isn’t, but it could put the release of the movie on hold.
Fans will get the chance to be in the movie, just like with the first one. There’s the opportunity for one lucky fan to voice a character through The Addams Family Voice Challenge. You’ve got until Nov. 4 to apply to the contest.
The first movie focused on the townspeople realizing that the Addamses are just like them when it comes to family and love. Will the second movie see the real estate agent return for revenge?
The Addams Family 2 is set for theaters on Oct. 8, 2021.
