The most read Amazon books from Sept. 20 to Sept. 26

Most week, the list of most read Amazon books remains relatively steady. That wasn’t the case this week. While Dune continues to climb, a controversial book enters the list.

Dune caused some changes to the Top 5. While Midnight Sun holds onto the top spot for another week in a row, Dune made it to second place, gaining seven places on the list. That’s not surprising since it made it to the top of the most sold list during the previous week.

That movement led to all three Harry Potter books that have held places two to four for some time dropped down the list.

However, the other Harry Potter books climbed spots on the list, with The Prisoner of Azkaban gaining three places to get back into the Top 10. It meant Delia Owens’s Where the Crawdads Sing lost four places.

That wasn’t the biggest drop, though. All the Devils Are Here by Louise Penny lost seven places, landing in 13th place this week.

There were three new books on the list of most read Amazon books last week. The Evening and the Morning by Ken Follett entered in 20th place, with Total Power by Vince Flynn & Kyle Mills in 18th place. The third new book is one of the most controversial at the moment.

Robert Galbraith’s Troubled Blood entered the list in 15th place. Galbraith is the pseudonym for J.K. Rowling, and this book has gained a lot of negative attention just from the blurb linked to Rowling’s stance against the transgender community.
