Are you looking for something good to watch this weekend? Between Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Channels, there are plenty of good Amazon movies to check out.
There is something for everyone. This list includes an animated movie that the kids will love and some wonderful biopic movies. There’s also a horror movie from the past, getting us ready for the scariest month of the year.
Here are the five good Amazon movies to check out from Sept. 26 to 27.
Just Mercy
We’re kickstarting the weekend with one of the Amazon Channels movies. Turn your attention to HBO as Just Mercy is now available to stream with your subscription. It’s a timely movie and was previously released for free on all platforms as the Black Lives Matter protests started back in June.

The movie stars Michael B. Jordan as a lawyer who wants justice for people who wouldn’t usually get it. The system is against them because of their race. His big case is getting a man out of jail who is on Death Row for a murder he didn’t commit.

Do you need a recent horror movie? Fantasy Island gained mixed reviews, but it could be perfect for those who want something with a bit of a twist. It’s also perfect for Lucy Hale fans.
Hale heads to an island where fantasies can come true. The problem is they come true with some deadly twists. Now the guests need to find a way to escape the island with their lives intact. Is that even possible?

Rosemary’s Baby
Turn your attention to an old-school psychological horror. Rosemary’s Baby is available on SHOWTIME, where it dropped on Sept. 1. This movie doesn’t stay on a streaming service for too long, so watch it while you can.
Rosemary and her husband, Guy, move into a new apartment. Immediately, Rosemary starts to hear things, and her dreams are strange. When she finds out she’s pregnant, she’s sure her neighbors have something sinister in mind for her unborn child.
The Addams Family
Finally, you get to turn to Amazon Prime Video for your Amazon movies. The first is one for the whole family, and the kids are going to enjoy it. The Addams Family is an animated movie that takes us all the way back to when Morticia and Gomez married.
Chased out of their town, they find a home in an abandoned psychiatric hospital. There they raise their family away from everyone else, but what happens when the idyllic town realizes that there are some “creepy” neighbors on top of the hill?
Judy
The last of the movies to check out is Judy. This biopic is about Judy Garland, with Renée Zellweger playing the lead role. Set 30 years after the success of Wizard of Oz, Judy enjoys sold-out shows at the Talk of the Town nightclub in London. She has the chance to reminisce about the past.
While there, she falls in love with musician Mickey Deans. Their whirlwind romance becomes series and he ends up becoming her fifth husband. It’s a beautiful movie about the end of Judy’s life.
