When can we expect a DVD release date for Bill & Ted Face the Music?

There is absolutely no doubt that you want to own Bill & Ted Face the Music on DVD or Blu-ray. This was something you knew before you watched it in theaters or rented it on VOD. The question now is when you’ll get the third Bill and Ted movie on DVD and Blu-ray.

Of course, there isn’t a date just yet. The movie was only released on Aug. 28. We’re not expecting an announcement for the date for a while yet. That doesn’t stop us speculating.

The movie is an Orion Pictures movie. We can look at other movies from the production studio to see when we can expect it on physical disc. We’re looking at Child’s Play and Gretel & Hansel for this.

Both took about three months to get to DVD and Blu-ray. We can likely expect something similar here, so we’re looking at the end of November 2020 for the DVD release. That’s plenty of time for a Christmas gift for someone you know.

Things could be a little sooner. Due to COVID-19, not all theaters are open yet. Studios will rely on DVD sales to make a lot of the money back. However, the straight-to-rent on VOD method has worked throughout the coronavirus pandemic, so there’s no need to worry too much about speeding up the DVD release.

What about to buy on Digital?

Right now, you can get Bill & Ted Face the Music on Digital by renting it. What about to buy it?

Most movie studios have been waiting the standard time for Digital and DVD releases during the pandemic. We’ll likely see it available to buy on Digital two weeks before the DVD release date or so.

Will the three movies be bulked together?

This marks the end of Bill and Ted’s musical journey. Well, for now it does. Of course, fans of all three movies will want to know if there’s going to be a three-movie collection.

I’d hazard a guess that this will happen. Whether it will happen right away or not isn’t clear. Keep an eye out for it. It’s going to be worth waiting for the collection.
