The end of the last episode was shocking, thrilling, and devastating all at the same time. We cheered as Atticus followed his ancestor out of the house as it crumbled around him. But then we cried along with him when he realized his uncle had succumbed to his wounds from the gunshot. The big question is whether Uncle George is really dead.

We’re back in Chicago for the episode, and Leti has bought a house. It’s one on Chicago’s North Side, which is not going to sit well with many of the white residents. As she opens it up as a boarding house, get ready for acts of racism and violence.

At the same time, we’re not done with the supernatural and magical. The house Leti has bought is full of ghosts that are about to come out of the woodwork. Are they going to help Leti and her friends or will they be on the side of the racists? Do the ghosts even care?

As all this goes on, Hippolyta just wants to know what really happened to her husband. Will Tic tell her the truth about Ardham?
