11 new DVD and Blu-ray releases this week [Aug. 25]

Chicago Fire Season 8 is one of the DVD and Blu-ray releases this week

Are you ready for another week of great DVD and Blu-ray releases? The whole of August has been on form, so why not the last Tuesday of the month?

There are 11 TV shows and movies coming to DVD and Blu-ray on Aug. 25. Many of them are the fall-schedule shows that tend to release around this time of the year. The idea is that viewers can get the DVDs and rewatch them in time for new seasons to start in September. Of course, TV isn’t working quite the same this year, but the DVD releases are.

Chicago Fire Season 8 and Chicago Med Season 5 are two of the releases during the week. You’ll notice that a One Chicago show isn’t listed. Chicago PD Season 7’s DVD release is being held back two weeks. It’ll be worth the wait, though!

SEAL Team Season 3 is also among the releases. The season saw a threat of changes happening within Bravo Team. Would Jason leave the team and have Ray take charge?

If you prefer superhero shows, The Flash Season 6 is heading to DVD and Blu-ray this week. You can catch up on everything that happened, and the Blu-ray includes all other episodes of the five-way Arrowverse crossover.

Prefer movies? The big release is The King of Staten Island. The DVD is out on Tuesday with the Blu-ray released on Wednesday. It’s a beautiful tale that offers far more than you’d initially expect watching the trailer.
