What is Chemical Hearts about?
Many people have the dream of finding that once-in-a-lifetime love. That’s Henry Page’s dream in Chemical Hearts, after seeing the love his parents have. The problem is our hopeless romantic has never even been in love. At one point, he even wonders if it’s going to happen for him.
When Grace Town becomes the new student in school, Henry doesn’t think all that much. This isn’t the girl of his dreams, after all. She’s not the one that he ever imagined falling in love with. However, the more they spend time together editing the school newspaper, the more he realizes that he could love her.
Grace isn’t your standard All-American Girl, though. She has secrets and has been through a trauma that has completely changed her own dreams in life. Can she open up and find a way to love herself before she falls in love with anyone else?
