Who will Jensen Ackles play on The Boys Season 3?

Jensen Ackles is joining The Boys Season 3. What do we know about his inclusion so far.

Granted, we don’t even have The Boys Season 2 yet! I can say from the screeners that I’ve seen that this season is just as awesome as the first, but I’m not saying anything else just yet.

But I’m sure while you’re all highly anticipating the second season, you’re also excited about The Boys Season 3 news. Every now and then, we learn of something new. The latest is that Supernatural alum is going to be in the third season.

Who will Jensen Ackles play on The Boys Season 3?

Ackles is getting his chance to play a superhero, according to TVLine. He’ll take on the role of Soldier Boy, who became the first celebrity superhero in this superhero-filled world.

Think of Soldier Boy as Captain America. His status dates back to the Second World War, and he remains a popular superhero among the masses.

The question is whether he’ll get along with the members of The Seven. Could Homelander feel threatened by Soldier Boy’s appearance? Why would he need to return after presumably being gone for so long? More importantly, what’s his secret to still looking as amazing as Jensen Ackles?

When will Soldier Boy appear?

What we don’t know is when Soldier Boy will be part of The Boys Season 3. Filming for the season hasn’t started yet. Eric Kripke and co. are currently focused on the promotion of the second season.

Meanwhile, Ackles is filming Supernatural Season 15 soon. The premiere for the final episodes is set for Oct. 8 and Ackles has two episodes left to film. Maybe he’ll fly straight over to Toronto and they’ll start filming right away so he doesn’t have to quarantine again.

The great thing is that Ackles and Kripke will be back together again. Kripke was the mastermind behind Supernatural, which has seen Ackles in one of the two the lead roles since the pilot episode. Kripke left after Season 5 as showrunner but stuck around for a couple of years as a consultant before going onto other projects.

Ackles isn’t the first Supernatural actor to appear on The Boys, though. Jim Beaver has appeared in an episode and in the tease for the Season 2 premiere.

We’ll bring more information about Soldier Boy and Jensen Ackles on The Boys Season 3 as we get it.
