The Young Sheldon Season 3 DVD release date has been set for September

There isn’t much longer to wait. The Young Sheldon Season 3 DVD release date is set, and you can already pre-order to make sure you don’t miss out.

Young Sheldon Season 3 is going to be on DVD on Sept. 1, 2020. You can pre-order the full boxset on Amazon right now, grabbing the Price Guarantee. The price has already dropped to $19.99, but it could drop further up to the release date in just a few short weeks.

For those who can’t wait for the DVD release, you can order on Digital right now. You’ll get all 21 episodes added to your Amazon Library immediately, and the Season Pass is available. Of course, you can also watch through CBS All Access, which is where the majority of CBS shows head to for streaming during and after the season.

Right now, it’s only the DVD that is available for pre-order. There is no Blu-ray option. This may happen at a later date, but it’s also possible that the Blu-ray hasn’t been selling well enough to justify offering it. It could also be a way to encourage sign-ups to CBS All Access, similar to how The Good Fight isn’t available to pre-order on Blu-ray right now.

What is Young Sheldon Season 3 about?

The Big Bang Theory prequel continues the story of Sheldon Cooper when he was younger. It isn’t easy being a genius surrounded by a family that doesn’t quite understand. However, he has a friend in Dr. Sturgis.

When Dr. Sturgis suffers from a nervous breakdown, Missy starts to worry about her twin brother. The nervous breakdown also means that the university class that Sheldon is attending is no longer happening. He needs to find a new way to stay academically challenged.

The season also involves trips to the hospital, the woods, and CalTech. While it is a shorter than expected season due to the coronavirus, it’s still full of the same laughter and some great character development for everyone, especially Georgie and Missy.

The good news is you can catch up ahead of Young Sheldon Season 4, which is coming in fall 2020 as long as filming can begin.
