The Dora live-action movie was certainly one of those movies we didn’t know we needed. The kids immediately asked to go the theaters to see it because, well, it’s Dora the Explorer, but would it be worth the money?
A cheesy action movie for the entire family
It turns out that we all should have probably hit the theaters with our kids. This is definitely one of those great, cheesy family movies.
Those who love movies like Spy Kids will adore Dora and the Lost City Gold. It’s one of those movies that is completely over the top and predictable for the adults, but the kids will enjoy the adventure. Like the TV series, there are also plenty of learning moments, as Dora teaches her friends about survival in the jungle.
One of the great things is the amount of Easter eggs for those who grew up watching the preschool series. Look out for Dora’s dad acting how all parents would if they were in the world of Dora the Explorer when it comes to the “can you say…” moments.
If you haven’t planned family movie night yet, opt for Dora and the Lost City of Gold. You won’t regret it when you see the reactions from your kids.
Dora and the Lost City of Gold is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
