Amazon Prime Video is adding more than 25 TV shows and movies this weekend
Blood and Top Gun are on the list of Amazon Prime Video new releases
This is a good weekend to be an Amazon Prime Video subscriber. Not only is it a new weekend, but it’s a new month. That means the big drop is happening, and there are 29 new movies and TV shows joining the streamer.
This weekend sees more than half of the total new releases on Amazon Prime Video. You’ll likely need to take the whole month to work your way through the list, especially when it comes to the TV shows. However, there are some notable mentions to start with.
More from Amazon
- Will Merry Little Batman come to DVD and Blu-ray?
- Will Your Christmas or Mine 2 come to DVD and Blu-ray?
- The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 release updates, cast, and everything we know
- Them Season 2 release updates, cast, and everything we know
- Most sold Amazon books last week: Hungry Caterpillar and more reenter
We have to mention the two 80s additions on the stream. Top Gun and My Bloody Valentine are joining on Saturday, offering something for action and horror fans alike.
Looking for something a little more recent? Inception is on the list of new arrivals, which is great timing when Ellen Page’s The Umbrella Academy Season 2 has just dropped on Netflix.
If you prefer TV shows, there are a few options. Various Amazon Channels are making the first seasons of shows available to watch with Amazon Prime Video. One of those is Blood Season 1, with the second season on Acorn TV. It’s an excellent British TV crime drama that takes you through a heartfelt story mixed in with the crime.
Another great option is Les Miserables, the PBS miniseries based on the Victor Hugo novel of the same name. If you’ve only seen the musical and not read the book, there are going to be characters and connections you don’t know about, making this an excellent viewing.
