Netflix’s The Kissing Booth 2 was the hottest new release at the weekend. We already know there’s a third movie coming in 2021. Before we think about that, though, you may want to know whether The Kissing Booth 2 will come to DVD and Blu-ray.
There are some Netflix releases that head to DVD and Blu-ray. That’s not always the case, though. It’s also unlikely that The Kissing Booth 2 will come to DVD and Blu-ray.

The first movie in the franchise didn’t get a DVD release. If that didn’t, there’s no point in releasing the second movie in this format.
It also doesn’t make sense for Netflix to release its movies on DVD and Blu-ray. With so many streaming services now, Netflix will want to make as much exclusive to the service as possible. That suggests that this YA rom-com isn’t heading to DVD and Blu-ray.
Is The Kissing booth 2 worth the Netflix subscription?
With the news that the movie likely won’t head to DVD and Blu-ray, you’ll need to decide whether the Netflix subscription is worth it or not. After all, it’s also not going to head to Amazon Prime in the future as a Netflix Original.
Whether it’s worth it will depend on your interest in movies. If you loved the first one, this is definitely worth the subscription. Personally, I found it so much better than the first, especially with the messages involving best friends and thoughts about whether a boy is worth changing all plans for college.
It’s clear a third movie is needed though. Fortunately, the third one was filmed straight after the second and is in post-production now. We’ll get it sometime in 2021. Just don’t expect it to come to DVD and Blu-ray.
