We’ll start with the Amazon Prime Original movie, 7500. It was released on the service in June, and quickly captured the attention of Joseph Gordon-Levitt fans. And if you don’t just watch something for an actor, you’ll want to check it out anyway.

Gordon-Levitt plays a soft-spoken co-pilot who is on a plane that’s hijacked in the air. Everything takes place from the cockpit, meaning all we hear are the screams and shouts from the back of the plane when things don’t go the hijackers’ way.

Our co-pilot has to figure out what to do, whether to risk everyone on board by doing what the hijackers say or hope the hijackers don’t kill everyone before he can land.

Knives Out

When it comes to recent movies, there’s one that everyone has been talking about. Knives Out is a much, especially with the Prime Video Watch Party. You’ll certainly have lots to talk about with friends.

Even if you’ve watched it and know the ending, you’ll still want to watch again. This is the best way to see those clues that told you the ending before it happened. And it’s pure entertainment!

Rocketman

While entertaining, Amazon movies can also be meaningful. That’s the case with Rocketman, which tells the story of Elton John’s earlier years.

This is one of those movie you can sing along to. At the same time, you’ll gain a whole new appreciation for Elton John and Taron Egerton. It isn’t always happy, but it’s heartfelt and honest. If you didn’t know about Elton John’s earlier years, there may also be some surprising moments throughout.

It’s a Wonderful Life

Christmas in July is popular for many. Why not watch a Christmas movie? It’s a Wonderful Life is the top pick, and you wouldn’t necessarily feel like you’re actually watching a Christmas movie throughout.

This is a movie that focuses on one person who believes the world would be better without him. We all feel this way at times. Just as George is about to jump from a bridge, Clarence shows him all the good that he’s done in the world. Well, he shows him what would have happened if he wasn’t there.

It’s a beautiful story that really makes you think of the impact you’ve had on the world.

How to Train Your Dragon

Finally, you need something for the children. Shrek Forever After was one of the most-watched Amazon movies in June, which did mean How to Train Your Dragon was overshadowed. It’s time to check it out.

This is the first movie in the trilogy, introducing Hiccup and the world of Vikings. Their task is to defeat the dragons, but what if they could train the dragons to work with them instead?
