The Magicians Season 5 and more coming to DVD and Blu-ray this week

The Magicians Season 5 is one of the DVD and Blu-ray releases this week

We’re into a new week, which means we’re ready for more DVD and Blu-ray releases. July 14 has a small selection. In fact, there are six movies and TV shows getting the DVD and Blu-ray treatment.

Of course, there are some notable additions. The Magicians Season 5 is the biggest addition of the week. It’s the final season of the magical show, so The Magicians: The Complete Series will come soon if not released on the same day.

While the cancellation came midway through the fifth season, the show had planned a little for it. Previous seasons had included a major cliffhanger to push us into the next season, but that wasn’t the case with the season-turned-series finale.

Another big addition fo the week is Mary J. Blige’s Body Cam. The movie initially looks like it’s going to be a cop drama, but it soon turns into something more. There’s a supernatural element to the movie. Blige’s character has to figure out what’s killing her fellow cops and why.

For those looking for a remake of a 1970s movie, turn your attention to one of the DVD and Blu-ray releases for this week. Enter the Fat Dragon is heading to shelves. The 2020 movie was written and directed by Kenji Tanigaki and Wong Jing and is a remake of the Sammo Hung movie of the same name.

The movie follows a police officer who has to investigate the death of a suspect. This suspect died while in custody during a routine transfer. What could have possibly gone wrong?
