Irresistible is the latest movie to head to VOD for rent. The question for many is whether the movie will be part of Amazon Prime Video in the future.

It’s unlikely that the movie will head to Amazon Prime Video as part of your Prime membership. This is a Focus Features movie which means that it’s more likely to head to HBO. This means it will head to HBO Max. This is likely to happen in six to eight months.

What is Irresistible about?

The movie is a political comedy, focused on Steve Carell as a Democratic political consultant. Realizing the party is in trouble, he reaches out to a retired Marine colonel who has the ability to connect with the people. The Democratic political consultant wants the former Marine colonel to run for mayor in the small Wisconsin town.

When the Republican party gets word of this, its own political consultant is sent down to deal with the situation. Rose Byrne stars as this consultant, who will do whatever it takes to make sure the Democrats lose.

For those who are still on the fence about renting Irresistible, you will want to know what the reviews are like. Is this one of those to wait to come to streaming? Rotten Tomatoes’s critics give it a 49% score, with the audience not even with enough reviews to give it a score yet.
